• EJU Preparation (Science & Humanities): For students aiming for prestigious national or private universities, the school provides focused training for the Examination for Japanese University Admission (EJU). This includes intensive instruction in academic reading, listening, and essay writing.

1. Match Your Course to Your Starting Level:

   • If you are a absolute beginner, we strongly recommend applying for the 2-Year Course (April intake) or 1.75-Year Course (July intake). Acquiring the advanced JLPT N2/N1 levels required for higher education or professional employment takes time and consistent immersion.
   • If you already possess a solid N3 or N4 foundation, the 1.5-Year or 1.25-Year courses are highly efficient, cost-effective options to fast-track your entry into university or the job market.

2. Prepare Your Finances Realistically:
   While the school’s tuition is highly competitive (ranging from ¥920,990 for 1.25 years to ¥1,434,960 for 2 years), you must also budget for living costs. We recommend having at least ¥80,000 to ¥100,000 per month for rent, food, utilities, and health insurance.

3. Part-Time Work Guidelines:
   Under the Student Visa regulations in Japan, you are permitted to work up to 28 hours per week (and up to 8 hours per day during school long-term holidays). Kobe has plenty of opportunities in hospitality, convenience stores, tourism, and logistics. KIJ's staff can assist you with preparing your Japanese resume and practicing for part-time job interviews, but remember: your studies must always remain your top priority.

4. Early Application is Crucial:
   Because of the school's robust capacity and popular seaside location, visa processing slots fill up quickly. It is highly recommended to begin your application process 6 to 8 months prior to your desired intake month to ensure all documentation, certificate of eligibility (COE), and visa paperwork are processed without delay.
